The Fantasy Kingdom Sim : Majesty 2
The first majesty was a niche game that combined a city-management with some real-time strategy elements. It was not as first-line by a long shot, but she was lots of fun light. Majesty II begins with the basic premise and the same ideas and gives the game a graphical update was much needed.
Yet, despite what should be a general principle, the flaws in the game become legion. In almost every way except for graphics, the game is far from the original. Scenarios, beyond the defenses of the early years, becomes the glorified cons "Zerg rushes. The AI of your heroes, the key to a game, is catastrophic. Each mission becomes a quest to ‘beat the spawn points right in the right order, or losing a game of guessing how the designers put the mission together. AI blatantly wrong is "balanced" levels with increasing difficulty crazy for monsters, you fight. Strategy becomes almost nonexistent.
To make matters worse, unlike the first game, there is no random map generator. There is the campaign, and maps encounter a series of a few ‘, and nothing else. There is also no tool for the creation of new playing cards, although the feature is gone. It’s a game that, if you can slog through it, lasts about three to four days of play time. After it is useless to play.
Had this been a budget title, $ 19.99 or more, or sold in the discount rack in a casket (which is, coincidentally, how you can now find the Gold version, the first game) some of these flaws could be forgiven. Unfortunately, at a point in the $ 40 price is expected to be as upscale, and it certainly is not. Anyone interested in this type of game should save themselves the hassle and find the original game by far superior. Otherwise, read a book instead.
